| Large Sacred Cow -
Sacred cows made a deep impression on Mary during her many trips to
India. Their gaunt, starved bodies appealed to her empathy, and
their placid demeanor gave her insight into the meaning of suffering.
She also loved the way they were given complete freedom to roam the
streets, even in hopelessly snarled traffic. |
